RF0121Recombinant SARS CoV-2 Nucleoprotein
Details
Catalog number: RF0121
Format: 50ug, 1 mg
Origin: It is produced by transient expression in non-transgenic plants. Recombinant SARS CoV-2 Nucleoprotein is purified by affinity chromatography. This product contains no animal–derived components or impurities. Animal Free product.
Description: Recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Nucleoprotein consists of 195 amino acids fused to a 6 His tag at C-terminal. It has a predicted molecular mass of 21,8 kDa. The SARS CoV-2 Nucleoprotein is RNA binding protein necessary for viral transcription and replication. It plays a critical role in forming helical ribonucleoprotein during the packaging of the viral genome, regulating viral RNA synthesis in replication/transcription process. Like other coronaviruses N protein of SARS CoV-2 consists of different domains: N-terminal domain (NTD), C-terminal dimerization domain (CTD) and central Ser/Arg rich linker. The C-terminal region is important for eliciting antibodies against SARS CoV and SARS CoV-2 during the immune response.
Species: SARS-CoV-2
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE gel
Endotoxin: < 0.04 EU / μg protein (LAL method)
Formulation: Lyophilized PBS buffer pH 7,4-7,6. Sterile filtered through 0.2 µm filter.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge the vial before opening. Lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water following instructions of batch Quality Control Sheet. At higher concentrations solubility may be reduced and, due to the protein nature, dimmers and multimers generated. Optimal concentration should be determined for specific application.
Storage and Stability: This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8º C for short term. For longer storage it should be kept at -20ºC. Reconstituted protein should be stored in working aliquots at –20°C. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended.
